What
is ARFE?
Trailblazers (and other groups across the country) get together and earn
points for the team by volunteering their time at events such as trail
clean up, river clean up, trail maintenance, etc. What a great way to
give back to the environment, the Adventure Racer’s playground!
At the end of the year (March, 2004), ARFE will tally up all the teams’ points.
Prizes from the following sponsors will be awarded: LEKI, Buffs, Rough
Guides, Sharkies, New Balance, Camelbak, Moosejaw, as well as race entries
from select race promoters and MORE!!!
Who
can participate?
Anyone! That means TrailBlazer members and nonmembers alike! Your roommates,
coworkers, friends, neighbors, kids, etc!

How
do I get involved?
It's easy! The TrailBlazers will post local events right here (see the
calendar below). You can attend anything you want, for as long as you
want, as often as you want! Sometimes we might choose to focus on a specific
event and try to get lots of people to come out (one way to get more
points is high attendance). You are not limited to the events posted
below; any volunteer work done outside, for the benefit of the environment,
is eligible!
When
you find an event you want to participate in, email
us so
we can send an estimated headcount to the organizers.
Remember these key items she will need to know:
- are you a TBARC member?
- activity & its location and date
- number of people volunteering with you
- starting & ending times
