Core Event #3
Blankets Creek

Mountain Biking

Biking gear (incl helmet!)
Running Gear
Anything that might help with speeding up your transition

Cautions:
Exercise caution, you will run one lap on the biking trails. Travel Opposite of Bikers.
Lots of roots
Normal Woods hazards.
Be careful on the bridge crossing since it’s unprotected and you are going to be hurrying.

**Please note that the Dweling trail changes direction, please check the sign for trail direction.
Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday to the right (counter clockwise)
Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday to the left (clockwise)

Other Notes:
Please be overly cautious and curtious to people biking. People generally don’t like bikers on their running trails and similarly people don’t like runners on their biking trails. Give the runners who will come behind you a good name by listening closely and getting completely off the trails when a bike is approaching.

How to get there:
From Atlanta - Take I-75 N to I-575 N Exit 11 - Sixes Road.
Turn LEFT (west) off the exit ramp and continue about 1.8 miles.
The main gate and gravel parking lot are on the LEFT.
Road signs [Blankets Creek Bicycle Trail] are posted

Instructions

You choose which order you do the events and which day you choose to go to the trails, but you will run 1 lap and ride 3 laps. All for TIME including the transition time. The Parking Lot is the transition area

You may start by biking or by running. You choose.

There are no Questions, this one is all out for time. Speed demons this is your chance to shine!

Start your TIME when you cross the cable heading toward the trails at the trail end of the parking lot.

Ride 3 laps. Each day has a specific direction of required travel. If you think one way is faster than the other then go on that day. Your choose. You may also start by Running 1 lap.

Keep your TIME RUNNING during the transition.

Do the opposite of what you just finished. Now either Run 1 lap or Ride 3 laps.

Stop your TIME when you reach the cable at the parking lot after completing ALL 4 LAPS.
