TrailBlazers Announce the Launch of a New Training Series

ATLANTA, GA March 22, 2004 --The TrailBlazers Adventure Racing club is hosting an Adventure Race Training Series titled "ARTI" (Adventure Racing Training Intervals). Details are posted at: http://arti.trailblazerar.com/

The series will kick off in April and the finale will be held in October. The ARTI-Series allows teams to earn points through the completion of 'Monthly Events' and 'Series Events' (see website for details). Event locations include areas where other Annual Adventure Sprint Races are held (in Georgia) as well as local (to the Atlanta Metro and surrounding area) parks, trails, etc.

"We have worked hard to set up training events in areas which might be new to some people and challenging to others. We know people are busy and the ARTI-Series concept is meant to allow people to train and earn points at their own pace and on their own schedule," says TrailBlazer member Tony Balding. "We hope to provide a race format which will allow everyone to compete, by setting up events that can be completed independently. We are excited about this year's series possibilities."

The ARTI-Series mission is to create an environment that is both strenuous and educational to provide novice and experienced adventure racers with beneficial training.

The TrailBlazer club's mission is to promote the sport of adventure racing through participation, education, and community outreach. With over 120 active members and chapters in Atlanta, Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee, TrailBlazers is the largest adventure racing club in the southeast.
