TrailBlazers Unveil Free 6-week Training & Racing Program

Atlanta, Georgia -- Wednesday, August 12, 2003 - The TrailBlazers Adventure Racing Club has unveiled a 6-week self-training program & informal club competition, Adventure Racing Training Intervals (ARTI) at their August monthly meeting.

ARTI is comprised of a series of 3 core and 5 optional courses that require
between 1 and 3 hours to complete, and include various disciplines such as: Trekking/Running, Mountain Biking, and Rollerblading. The timed events are self-guided, based on written instruction, and involve answering some basic questions that require finding a certain place, object, etc. Time penalties are assessed based on wrong answers.

ARTI allows adventure racers and aspiring adventure racers to visit some of Atlanta's most popular outdoor destinations on their own time to complete a number of preset courses. To participate, visit the
TrailBlazers website to get directions to the interval locations and print out clue sheets. After completing one of the 8 courses, email completion times and answers to the clues to the ARTI coordinator and results will be posted to the TrailBlazers website.
