TrailBlazers Announce New Online Event Calendar

ATLANTA, GA November 1, 2004-- The TrailBlazers Adventure Racing Club announced today a new online event calendar designed to bring the ultimate amount of information to the racers that seek it. The new calendar can be viewed online at: http://www.trailblazerar.com/calendar/

"Our new calendar is driven by information entered in a comprehensive event submission form that is accessible to anyone. With this new system, event directors and promoters no longer have to wait for us to manually update our calendar," says Cathi Cannon, Director of Marketing & Communications for the TrailBlazers. "Because everything is database driven, calendar updating and event color coding is automated, saving the Club lots of time that can be redirected to other initiatives. I want to thank club member James Holmes for volunteering his time and programming knowledge to make this happen."

In the event submission form, event promoters can include a description of their event, as well as check boxes of key disciplines included, race formats & divisions, if support crews are required, and any necessary contact information. Events are then automatically color-coded by event type to aid in viewers finding relevant events. In the future, search capabilities will be added.

The TrailBlazers encourage all individuals, whether race directors, promoters, or racers, to enter events of interest to the adventure racing world. Although all entries must be approved by a TrailBlazer Admin before going live, the club expects this to only take 48 hours.
